Hank AM 1550 is our most listened to station while cruising down the road and now they need help to stay on air.

Gonna miss AM radio when it’s gone.

I honestly wonder how long music radio has left.

Radio and sometimes CDs is what we listen to when driving. Partially because most new music is crap (IMO, the stuff that’s not doesn’t play on the radio anyway), partially because we have conversations and point things out to the kiddos.
The only stations we like seem to only last a short period, then they get replaced by some modern pop/hip hop station, which gets a hard pass from us.

I stopped using CD s while ago because I ripped my music to digital and now I can stream it from iPod or phone. Same idea though. I do like to dream Pandora sometimes when nothings good on the radio. Since I can customize my stations, I can be reasonably sure I’ll hear stuff I like while still not being sure what’s coming up next. Nothing beats hearing a favorite song on the radio. The random unsuspectedness makes it feel special. That’s why I always see what’s on the air first.
My daughter tries to take control of the radio most times. I let her, but I have started putting my foot down on certain artists or songs that I can’t stand. Also, sometimes Daddy gets to put on his stations if he finds something he wants.
